Andrew Fagan

Andrew Fagan

Andrew Fagan interviewed Graeme Lay on ‘The Secret Life Of James Cook’ at last year’s Going West Festival and did such a fine job that he was invited back. Last year he fronted a TV One documentary about the historic ‘Wairarapa’ shipwreck in the series ‘Descent From Disaster’. He has written four slim volumes of poetry and two sailing memoirs Swirly World The Solo Voyages and Swirly World Sails South, the latter recounts his circumnavigation of New Zealand in his 5.4 metre sloop. Even his children’s book On Plastic Bag Patrol has sailing themes. Andrew continues performing live music with his band Fagan And The People and the single Stalling/Ancestor will be released later this year. His day job is working with Karyn Hay on Radio Live and can be heard weekday evenings 7-10pm
