Raewyn Alexander is a Tamakai Makaurau Auckland Grey Lynn poet, novelist, and non-fiction writer. She also lectures, and works as an actor. She’s travelled the world and loves writing poetry in many forms, also performing in Aotearoa NZ, Australia, and the USA. 2016 she launched Our Mother Flew Unassisted, (brightspark books) her seventh collection of poetry. Then for Aotearoa NZ Poetry Day she created Free Poetry at Garnet Station Cafe, a community celebration all day, typical of her generous, innovative style.
