We're thrilled to welcome Richard back for another session at Shadbolt House. Whether you’re new to Creative Nonfiction or looking to deepen your craft, this two-hour workshop offers a supportive space to explore memory, perspective, and truth through writing.

Saturday, 14 June, 10am–12pm
Shadbolt House, 35 Arapito Road, Titirangi
Cost, $40, ($30 concession - student, senior) | Morning tea provided

Our first Creative Nonfiction workshop with Richard Pamatatau filled quickly and received glowing feedback from participants:

“Low-stakes environment to share some high-stakes stories.”

“Wonderful and inspiring.”

“A fabulous, trusting space. I was surprised what came up for me.”

Participants will respond to carefully designed prompts, enjoy uninterrupted writing time, and—if comfortable—share their work in an atmosphere of trust and generosity.

About your tutor:

Richard Pamatatau is a poet, essayist, lecturer, and the programme leader for Creative Writing at AUT University. He is fascinated by the intersection of class, silence, history and identity. He is a former journalist who is rethinking the who what why how when into tools that can be mobilised for the production of fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry in a world where everything is up for interrogation and art-making
